GO BACK & GET IT is a short documentary that will take me to Africa to uncover Yoruba dance tradition called THE NATION DANCE. This once in a lifetime opportunity will enable me to produce a 10-minute documentary, create a movie poster and a series of images that will represent the importance of knowing who you are and where you come from.
I also created a crowdfunding campaign and video to support this project
Go Fund Me Campaign
GO BACK & GET IT film project was subject to a University of East London Going Global Bursary that allowed me to travel to Lagos Nigeria in a quest to reclaim a part of my African identity. The documentary follows my journey to trace a Nation Dance that my great grandmother who was originally from the Yoruba Nation would perform in Trinidad W.I.
The film was a solo project that also documents some of the art and culture that is a vibrant part of Nigerian lifestyle.
I designed and created the logo alongside photographic images taken whilst in Nigeria and postcards including a movie poster as part of the awards for donors who pledged funds towards the project.
